The company that will manage the judging of RAKEZ Business Excellence Awards submissions is International Performance Excellence (IPE), a global firm that aspires to improve the world of business by encouraging the adoption of international standards and best practices.
The company’s goal is to help clients reach and maintain excellence in all aspects of their businesses, from the main results in day-to-day operations to the interaction with stakeholders. IPE implements best practices in the field by coordinating with other organisations to conduct benchmarking activities that service the client needs.
Below are profiles of the judges who will determine the winners of the RAKEZ Business Excellence Awards:
Eng Wael Kamal is the Chief Executive Officer at International Performance Excellence. He possesses over 20 years of experience in managing the growth of leading companies in various industries. He has gained expertise in numerous fields, such as business development, project management, financial planning and quality management.
Eng Kamal is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan and a founding member of the Jordanian Society for Quality. He holds certifications in International Project Management, Lead Quality Auditing, and Social Responsibility and has attended numerous training courses over the course of his career.
Eng Omar Khadra is an Advisor/Consultant for the Customer Service/Happiness division of a federal government department in the UAE. He has more than 25 years of experience as a Business Development Consultant in private and public organisations. He was the Senior Assessor & Team Leader for Dubai Quality Award for ten years. Eng Khadra was a jury member and jury chair for Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards for three years. He also was an assessor with Dubai Government Excellence Program in 2008.
Eng Khadra held senior positions in many reputed organisations in the UAE and Jordan; he worked as Director in Abu Dhabi International Centre for Organisational Excellence for five years, and Director in Al Ghurair Group of Companies for eight years. He also was Industrial and Plant Manager for three years in Century Investment Group in Amman, Jordan. He assumed leadership roles in sales, marketing, manufacturing in the private sector.
Eng Khadra has expertise as a trainer on business improvement and excellence for government and private sectors.
Ahmad Arafat is Freelance Consultant and Trainer. He is a Certified QMS Lead Auditor, EHS Auditor, QM-Customer Satisfaction Auditor, EFQM Sr. Assessor, and Service Quality Champion. With over 15 years of experience specialised in quality management, excellence awards, environment, health and safety management, customer centric initiatives, customer journey mapping and service quality. He has assessed multiple organisations in several excellence awards, in addition to being a judge in the International Business Awards.
Ahmad holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Master’s Degree of Science in Quality and Business Excellence. He worked in several management and IT consulting firms, in addition to a UAE government organisation. His role requires special development of service quality strategy in alignment to the organisational vision and customers’ perceptions.
Ahmad is experienced in business development, business process management and improvement, mystery shopping, project management, surveys, documentation management, training, organisational structuring, corporate governance, service quality and contact centre development.
